US
With the aim of following in the footsteps of the charm and enchantment of the artisan tradition that surrounds the land of Cadiz and in particular the mountains of its Pueblos Blancos (white towns), in Puro Art we design and manufacture different types of leather goods and accessories for the world of Cuban cigars.
We design tobacco pouches and humidors, combining the tradition of the artisans of bygone years with the most up to date innovations.
The fusion of the artisan leatherworker Antonio Cabrera and the designer and salesman Manuel Dueñas was consolidated in 1996 with the creation of the EL PETAQUERO workshop, a manufacturing company where the treatment of leather was just the starting point.
Years later, a century-old family business, heirs and children of the Manuel Bohórquez Sala family, experts in the handcraftedproduction of the old petacas (tobacco pouches), today known as pureras (cigar cases), merged with El Petaquero.
Ample experience and great dedication have allowed us to create small masterpieces. Unique products, distinctive and without barriers in the process of creation, we are daring and audacious when it comes to designing products, and always try to innovate and develop different products for the brands and companies that place their trust in us.

Innovation
We treat material in line with tradition, but with innovative techniques Our creative process begins with a sketch which opens up two paths: firstly the selection of raw materials, and secondly, the design and pattern.
The selection of exotic leather such as crocodile and tegu, or domestic ones such as cowhide or bovine leather from Spain culminates in the process of manufacture, cutting and manual rebates to give shape to the desired product. Throughout this process, sustainability plays a key role, and for this reason we work with fine materials such as vegetable-tanned cowhide leather and hardwoods, to guarantee the durability of our products.
